My last summer trip at Isole Tremiti, Italy, Puglia

I went to Tremiti Islands for the first time last summer. It was an amazing trip and the place made me breathless. Now I’ll say you more to introduce this wonderful place.

Tremiti Islands are an archipelago in the Adriatic sea that includes six islands: Capraia, La Vecchia, Pianosa, Il Cretaccio that are uninhabited and completely wild, San Domino and San Nicola, the two inhabited islands. San Domino is the biggest one. The two inhabited islands represents a perfect harmony between Nature and man.

I went to Tremiti by ferry from Termoli, Molise in an hour but if you want, you can take a ferry from Peschici or Vieste (Puglia).

It was July and very very hot and dry: no wave to disturb us and no shadow. When you arrive, you can dive into the uncontaminated and deep blue sea with fishes. It’s a fantastic experience!!! You can take a sunbath or explore the islands with its caves by a boat.

So,If you’re in San Domino you can find a lots of hotel, b&b, bar, restaurant and all sort of tourist facillity.

In San Nicola, instead, you can find little beaches and you can visit the ancient village in which there is a little community and souvenir shops. My advice: wear only comfortable clothes and sneaker because the village is on the top, you must follow a steep path and you can slip down.

So, what are you waiting for? Tremiti islands are explotion of color and a Paradise. You can’t stay at home!

Write a review and share your experience!

Bye
