Hello Local Guides,
Merry Christmas to those who are celebrating it today with love, and Happy New Year in advance to the entire community.
As we move toward the conclusion of this wonderful year 2025, a year in which many amazing events took place on the occasion of the Local Guides program’s 10th anniversary and Google Maps’ 20th anniversary, and where the community showed great energy and enthusiasm, I would like to take this opportunity to share a small story about my contributions on Google maps.
I usually share my contributions very actively and regularly on my all social media platforms.
However, I have never shared my contributions on Connect until today, because I know that Connect is a place where truly amazing people come, people whose real passion is Google Maps, and they already know about the importance of contributions on Google maps.
One major purpose of sharing on social media is to inspire those who do not yet contribute on Google Maps, so they can start contributing and learn about a major platform like Local Guides Connect. And even if they do not start contributing immediately, at least they become aware that such a community exists in the world, a community that selflessly guides people through Google Maps contributions.
That is why I strongly support sharing Google Maps and Connect achievements on social media.
I felt very happy when I was informed through a Local Guides email that 3 million people have benefited from my Google Maps reviews. This is a great honor for me.
I would also encourage all of you to inspire as many people as possible through your contributions, so that more people join our community who genuinely want to help others and provide guidance.

Since the beginning, I tried to be one like you, or @NareshDarji as far as the contribution to the connect is concern, but I always forgot you are guys are unique… I am blessed to know you and follow you regularly.
Your contributions are milestones for me. I will definitely try to get at least to level 10 in 2026. That’s a primary one for Google Maps. Let’s see.

I would like to share here that I once heard that consistency creates steps toward progress, so I have simply been following that principle.
My intention and yours are the same: to guide people through our contributions, which is what all of us are doing.

Being seen as a role model by fellow Local Guides means a lot to me. Accessibility, tourism promotion, and community building are close to my heart, and I try to stay consistent with this purpose.
If my journey inspires even a few people to contribute with honesty and care, then the effort is worth it. I will continue to do my best and support the community in every possible way.
