Hi @Diana_umbat ,

I think we have visited one and the same place! I also have a photo with the same person. Take a look!

While I was visiting Thailand I had never known before that this tribe is located here. I was so happy to learn more about them and to find out that actually they are a minority and live out of the city. While visiting I found out that Karen people have their own villages located far from the cities in forests.

I really hope that those kind of tribes are supported by the country and that there are lots of tourists to go there and contribute by buying some souvenirs and help this society.

I have visited this place twice. They have another one, but quiet far from the city. About 1hrs+ to reach there. To go the village, they have a truck to transport you to the village. But there a not many families there. I heard from the local lady who drove us to Karen Village, the place that i went already closed due to few family have moved.

There’s are two tribe living there. Akha and the Long neck people, The Karen, The Palong, something like that. The first one when you enter the Karen Village are the Akha Tribe. i hope the government of Thailand will helps them to improve the place, probably maintained the place nicer.

Hi @Diana_umbat ,

This is so much interesting! When did you visit the Karen village? I was there in June 2017.

These two ladies in the photos that you uploaded I have seen them there. I remember one of them, the second one, had dark to my understanding a traditional tattoo or something like this. Her mouth and lips were colored in black.

What else did you do while you visited Chiang Mai?

While I was there, I had the chance for the first time in my life to see elephants so close to me and what is more to shower them! This is one of the memories I cherish the most…

Thanks @Diana_umbat for this recap!

It is impressive to see in the first pictures how you can change the human body over time!

Thank you so much for the beautiful photos !!

@TsekoV I went last week with my Mother and my sister.

I love Chiang Mai. So relax and so many beautiful places to visit. I went to the famous temple, Doi Suthep, the waterfall, the night market, Waroros Market.

Have you been to Mon Jam? I went there in 2015. Mon Jam is a beautiful mountain top viewpoint. It’s about an hour’s drive away from Chiang Mai. Beautifully landscaped with lots of pretty flowers. Nice views of the valleys and farms on surrounding hills. They have Go Kart Hill too

Hi @Diana_umbat

I have been to all of those places that you mentioned in Chiang Mai. There are so many temples to visit and discover.

One of the temples we discovered just by walking around the city really caught my attention. But I still cannot remember its name? Have you heard of it?

I have visited other places in Thailand too, but I have never been to Mon Jam. Have you heard about it @Aruni ?

Another place that really caught my attention is my trip to city Pai which is very close to the border with Myanmar. While visiting there I saw butterflies which were as big as my hand. This left me feel amazed.

Very amazing trips @Diana_umbat Did you make a campground in Mon jam?

@TsekoV Is very popular place in Chiang Mai also. Clean air, nice view and a lot for the flower in this place.

I think i did went to that Temple in 2015. I can’t remember the name too.

My Last visit to Chiang Mai, we didn’t go much to the temples. Only to Doi Suthep.

How about this Old Chiang Mai Cultural Centre? This photo was taken from my camera in 2015. I still keep many photos of my trip to Chiang Mai. So i can remember all this moment.
