Small Help / Information required to solve an Issue am facing. I mean, My reviews in the Google Map shows differently i.e, In my profile page it displays 1832 Reviews and In public profile page it displays as 1428 Reviews. What might be the reason? One of my colleague said it might be because of incognito mode, but I haven’t used incognito mode when I make google review to public. So can anyone help me how to rectify?

Google has automatic filters that hide your reviews so only you can see them. This can happen when some of your reviews violate the guidelines, including:

Note: All my latest reviews are shown in the public profile and to self but the difference of number of reviews are varying so how to resolve this.
@NareshDarji In reference to the link, the answer to the concern question in the form is quite contradictory to my issue at present. I mean, the question in the Google form says, “What contributions are not displayed on Google maps”? If I select Reviews, I will lead Google moderators astray because all of my most recent reviews are visible in both my public profile and my self-profile page. My main concern is the disparity in reviews and how to restore it.
This form is super useless and will not fix the issue. It will happen again and again. The reason is Googles SPAM filter that is completely out of control.
400 of your posts got shadow banned by Googles stupid filter. 400 reviews you practically wasted you time on. Google does not value our work and is not even making the effort to inform us that the content got blocked. This is a very one-sided relationship.
My advise is to delete all your content on Googles review platform and to use another one like tripadvisor or yelp.
@PetrusMaximus Thank you for your suggestions. However, let me wait with some patience to understand what exactly the issue and how Google will resolve the matter. Also, as you rightly said, Google should at-least intimate us a small warning notice before hiding/spamming our contents. There is always a chance that we unknowingly commit some errors while updating in reviews or photos etc.
Note: Someone in this platform may say that Google is huge platform and they do not have the time to send notice/warning to each one of them or one should follow rules & regulations before making reviews. For them, I say, Google platform is complex in nature itself & certainly rules will be changing each-time. And I also Agree that, we should abide the rules, But Google being a big giant in technology sector, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, etc. they can still create a small algorithm to alert us by issuing a mail, & this will definitely help the authentic local guides to function correctly.
Thanks . Yes I have been frustrated by Google’s filtering mechanism for almost a year now. But actually here the “over 400” reviews I mentioned was meant for your case. It seems that out of your 1,832 reviews only 1,428 are shown, which means you have over 400 reviews hidden by Google.
There is an ongoing test in France where Maps users get notified in the app and via email when their reviews get hidden. Judging from the reactions so far this is also far from ideal.
@ivanos I got you buddy My feelings were expressed by You is what even I meant Anyways, 400 Reviews Hidden is not a small thing, Right This is what lagging in logistics of Google. A precautionary intimation from them would have helped me not to waste my time. Expecting, someone may help in this LG Connect platform to resolve this issue.
@MortenCopenhagen Thank you for the latest information of ongoing test in France. Hope to expect same thing in India as well. Also, the challenges(problems) what we face shall be identified, investigated and answered ASAP
Hi @MortenCopenhagen In reference to our earlier trailing conversation(January 2023), I herewith attach the screenshots of My Public and Private Profile of Local Guide Reviews Numbers (as of date 26.11.2024). The issue still persists, and the difference in the reviews is still more than 400 numbers only.
Note: As per the guidelines, I have not violated rules and regulations in Google Reviews, including photos and video updates in the reviews.
Any assistance from you would be great, and solutions from other users would also be most appreciated.
Your text does not reflect a visit of yours. It is all general remarks that anyone could write without visiting the place. You are in my opinion trying to sound official as if your words carry more weight than those of being a normal consumer/ customer.
That is likely why so many of your reviews have been taken down.
Please use the four questions in this post to learn to write authentic and guideline compliant reviews.
Also, look at the photos you uploaded with this review. Please check up on the guidelines re duplicate and similar photos.
@MortenCopenhagen Thank you for providing the link about writing an authentic review. I would definitely incorporate it in my future reviews. However, it would be great from your end if you let me know where I can see my hidden reviews out of 2274 reviews. So that I can rewrite the reviews with proper text or even delete those reviews that are hidden to the public. Your guidance will be more helpful on this.
There is no easy way to identify your hidden reviews. One method is described here:

But honestly, I would recommend you go through all your reviews and fix them to avoid repeat issues.
Hi @MortenCopenhagen, in reference to the link provided by you regarding the identification of hidden reviews using two different devices. I tried doing the same yesterday and listed the hidden reviews (some 50 numbers) and rewrote a couple of reviews to check whether they would reappear or not in my profile; unfortunately, Google Maps is not displaying and still its being hidden. I think I may lose 445 Google reviews that I genuinely wrote, or if I still have any hopes, kindly let me know.
Note: I may also try deleting hidden reviews and rewriting them again, and it may help to fix the issue, but Google Maps algorithm accepts or not; I am not sure. However, deleting my hidden reviews, I would definitely lose the respective reviews photos and videos.
Let me see any possibilities of solution from other Google Moderators.
