My First Winter Trip Experience to Kalam, Swat – Things I Learned

I planned a trip to Kalam, Swat with my family/friends in January. The journey was beautiful, and the snowy views made the trip memorable. I am sharing some pictures from this amazing place.

When we reached Kalam, our first experience was a little challenging because we did not have much information about hotels. It took us around 2–3 hours to find and book a suitable hotel.

My recommendation for anyone planning a winter trip to Kalam is to book your hotel in advance, especially during snowfall season.

On our first day, we faced some difficulties. The weather was extremely cold, and due to heavy snowfall, water pipes in the hotel were frozen. The hotel also did not have proper heating arrangements, which made our stay uncomfortable.

The next day, we decided to change our hotel. This time, we checked the facilities properly and booked a better place. After that, our trip became much more enjoyable.

My advice for winter travelers:

Book your hotel before reaching Kalam.
Confirm heating facilities before booking.
Check water availability during snowfall season.
Always plan according to weather conditions.

Despite the initial problems, Kalam’s natural beauty, snow-covered mountains, and peaceful environment made this trip unforgettable.
