This is my recent personal favorite upload of the world famous ‘Golden Temple’ of Amritsar, India. It is actually Shri Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara, the magnificent gold coated religious and spiritual centre of worship for the Sikhs world over. The splendour and the grandeur of this temple stands tall among the surrounding waters. Did you know that the path to the inner shrine takes about four hours in a queue and the temple serves free meals to more than 50,000 people daily through a community kitchen service called ‘Langar’ made possible through the volunteer service of thousands of devotees. The temple registers more than 100,000 foot falls everyday. Don’t miss this beauty you are in India the next time.
Now why don’t you tell me all about your recent favourite upload on Google Maps!
