My Fact finder has been locked. How to unlock?

To get the novice fact-finder badge, you need answering 25 questions, suggest 3 edits and have those approved, & verify 3 edits (Facts) checked.

Your stats is Zero answers, 29 approved edits & 43 facts checked.

Till the time you provide an answer to some questions, the badge will not unlock.

If you are an Android phone user, you can invoke the questions by clicking on the places visited as in your timeline.

At the bottom, you will find “Know this place?” query.

Or else, wait to get a notification to answer some questions.

Further, if you have set automatic deletion of your activity through https://myactivity.google.com/, the answer count will keep on returning to zero, thus removing the fact-finder badge every time.

I’m on iOS but know how to answer the questions. I had answered hundreds of questions but I was playing with the settings and may be that erased them. I knew it had something with the auto delete features I turned on. Was just making sure it was all my fault. But even after the deletion, I’ve been answering questions and yet the badge hasn’t been unlocked. Thank you very much for the help

I’ve also this problem, I answered question and done lot of thing but never unlocked.

Hi @legacy_account

You might be mixing up the two different kinds of questions available on Google Maps. Some are generated by Googles computes and can be answered Yes/No. The other questions are asked by other Map users who want to know something about a place. These often require you to write a whole sentence and not just Yes or No.

Hello thanks for answering, these Yes/No I’ve answered them lot. But I’ve answered these to complete information on shop or … meaning add additional information like website or phones number.

But my factfinder is still locker since last year.
