Hi Everyone,
As a Local Guide, I always love to document my experiences and review places I visit while traveling. However, recently—specifically during my trips to Dubai—I kept encountering a recurring issue every time I tried to post a new review.
The system’s automated algorithms would immediately flag the review with the warning: “We can’t publish this content right now” and mark the review as “Not published”.
How I Solved the Issue: After trying a few adjustments, I discovered that the main culprit was the attached media. Some photos and videos accidentally showed other people or passersby in the background. As soon as I removed those photos and kept only clean shots of the venue and brand logo, the review was instantly published and became visible to everyone!
My Questions to the Community:
-
Have you experienced similar automated blocks when reviewing places while traveling or using roaming/different Wi-Fi networks?
-
What are the most common triggers you’ve noticed that cause reviews to be held back?
-
What best practices do you follow to avoid automated spam filters?
I wanted to share this experience hoping it helps fellow Local Guides, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and advice!
