My Day At The National Museum Kolkata As A Local Guide : Exploring Kolkata

Hello awesome blossom local guide friends today I would like to take you all a virtual visit to “National Museum Kolkata”.
After a long lockdown, when Kolkata started to open up, this rainy morning, my breathless mind wanted to go somewhere, so I decided that it would not be bad to spend the day in wildlife, so I went to Kolkata Zoo to visit Kolkata Zoo. But alas! after reaching I found that Kolkata Zoo was still closed due to lockdown. Due to this, I found out through a friend that the Kolkata Museum was open, so I took a yellow taxi from the Kolkata Museum and reached there, then bought a ticket and went straight inside.

Why you should visit Indian Museum Kolkata:
The Indian Museum Kolkata has very rare collections of Mughal paintings, fossils, mummies of Egypt antiques, armour, ornaments and last but not the least stones.
Arriving inside, after the security check, I deposited my travel bag with the security and went straight to the gallery with only my DSLR camera (I had already got the permission for the DSLR camera).
First I saw BHARHUT GALLERY, In this context, the Kolkata Museum has a total of 14 galleries such as …

  1. BHARHUT GALLERY.

  2. BIRD GALLERY

  3. BOTANICAL GALLERY.

  4. BRONZE GALLERY.

  5. COIN GALLERY.

  6. DECORATIVE ART GALLERY.

  7. EGYPT GALLERY.

  8. GANDHARA GALLERY.

  9. INSECT GALLERY.

  10. ARCHAEOLOGY GALLERY.

  11. MAMMAL GALLERY.

  12. MASK GALLERY.

  13. PAINTINGS GALLERY.

  14. TEXTILE GALLERY.
I like most Egypt gallery within those all galleries because of Mummies.

This is a very impressive virtual tour of the National Museum @TravelerProdipta

So many galleries in just one museum are unheard of and unseen before.

Also, I would like to inform you that there is a limit on the number of photos uploaded to connect which is currently 1000

But it seems you have linked them here from an external source which is a good idea :+1:

Great initiative and letting people know that it is wheelchair accessible!

More than a few of these items are so fascinating and I would definitely love to hear more about the artefacts to learn more about the history surrounding Kolkata.
