Kanazawa when we went there was a lot of rain, and rain …and rain. It’s a pretty city with a lot to see. the gardens are lovely, but we went to all the tea houses. The tea house I strongly recommend is morihachi main store. It’s a tea house with a history and the Japanse confectionery are so good. We did sit in the tea house with a lovely view in the garden. I also took a lot of confectionery for the rest of the trip. ~nom nom
We went to Matsumoto and two thing I strongly recommed is the castle and the frog street. The frog street (Nawata street) has a little boutiques with a lot of frog. With three frogs of stone. I’m not sure about the history why the frogs are their, but I read that when a typhoon came the frogs went away and never returned. To remain the spirit of the street they made their own frogs.
We did Nagoya in one day, multiple museums, the castle and garden. I would recommed taking more time. But the thing I loved the most is the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. It’s a museum telling the completed history about Toyota. I’m not someone that love cars, but this museum tells the story wide perspective, I loved it.

The Kanazawa and the tea houses etc sound interesting but I think like you, I would most enjoy the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m happy to read that as a Japanese LG.
I have never heard about the frog street. It sounds very interesting. There are many frog statues and dolls at my parent’s home:-)
