Music from Dripping Water

So this is my second post for the Chaitra Navratri series, where I try to show our culture on this platform and also show my contributions to Google Maps while taking part in the festivals.

So, more than a year ago, when I was exploring the Durga Puja pandals in Salt Lake, Kolkata, I visited many places, including this one, which is a playground popularly known as the AK Block Durga Puja playground, as this ground is known for the Durga Puja celebration.

When I entered here, I was absolutely surprised by the unique theme that was Baribindu, which was actually a concept given by artist Bhabatosh Sutar. The theme focused on rainwater conservation, featuring an immersive, artistic representation of raindrops, often associated with the soundscapes of water dropping on utensils.

When the water droplets were falling on the utensils, they were making good music, the iconic Dhak sound in rhythm; literally, it’s a unique theme.

Outside this, there were some small and local businesses, so I have educated them on how they can enhance their business with Google Maps. I have also given some answers about this place on Google Maps that helped people.

Important information about this playground:

Accessibility :wheelchair_symbol:: Yes
Timings: Always Open
Parking: Free street parking is available.

Very true… very unique theme…
Incidentally, from where the water droplets were falling on the utensils?
I can imagine the excitement…

And congratulations for helping others…

Thank you so much @TravellerG sir, for your appreciation. Actually in the image 4, as you can see the asbestos sheets on the top, the water was dripping from there. :folded_hands:

I was also suprised how the water was dripping on the perfect timing and making the perfect iconic Dhak sound in rhythm. That’s the beauty of our Indian culture.

I have seen many videos about it on YouTube, although there are background noises as well in it. You can have a look.
