Hello, I had issues adding photos to existing locations on Google Maps from desktop or computer, I tried checking for multiple locations on the area appearing here on the link since I wanted to add photos for few locations which I visited, I had to try other locations and see if they have the same response or what, the same locations still enables me to add photos if I use my mobile phone which is Android.

After sometime trying to solve this problem I noticed that on desktop we have multiple ways of adding photos, this methods depend on your contribution, if you have ever written a review for that place before or not, this will affect how you see things on Google Maps on your computer.

  1. This method shows the add a photo icon bellow the photos on top of the reviews.

  1. This method require you to click edit your review to open the add photo icon.

3.The last method is what I was expecting but could not located it, this is where by the add a photo icon is shown on the list of location details such as operating hours, contact number, location and website.

Please note that here I used locations of different businesses from different cities Durban, South Africa, Mbomela, South Africa and countries Eswatini, South Africa to make sure that my findings affect other different countries too and other cities not just here where I am.

I would like to know if others have the same experience or it is just me here. Do you find this methods easy to use or you also get confused sometimes? I must say that this updates have advantages, now they allow us to find our photos and reviews easy, enabling photo deletion if required as we have been complaining that it was difficult to locate our photos. Thank you.

That’s useful information @Raphael-Mahumane

Nevertheless, there are two more ways to add photos on a desktop.

Further, these aren’t workarounds, but legitimate means to do so.
