I have visited Mount Diablo few times, these pictures are from my recent visit to the summit. Mountain Diablo is part of Diablo range located in Northern California. In fact in Walnut Creek, CA and also close to Danville, CA. There are two entrances, one from Danville and other one from Walnut Creek. There is a fee of $10 to enter.

Drive to the summit is winding, also the road is narrow. This is very popular with cyclists, so road needs to be shared with cyclists. On the way there are few places where you can stop and enjoy the view. Above picture was shot from one of those stops.
Picture of a biker going down the hill, I can only imagine the fun riding down!
From the summit, on a reasonably clear day you can view most of the bay area bridges, including Golden Gate and Bay Bridge. The day I visited it was little bit hazy, however I was able to recognize most of the bridges from the summit.
Also on a clear day Sierra mountains, Lassen Peak and also Sentinel dome in Yosemite are visible from here.
Picture of Summit building, there are several wheel chair accessible parking spots here.
There is ample parking at the summit, little bit below the summit building. However right next to Summit building there are several wheel chair accessible lots are available. Summit building has a small gift shop and you can go to the top of the summit building.

There are several hiking trails on Mt Diablo. It is very popular with hikers. I did a short hike at the summit. Here are few shots during that hike.
Another view from the top of summit building
Being at the elevation of 3849ā it can get very windy and chilly, fortunately the day I visited it was bearable, of course it is always a good idea to wear layers and come prepared.

Shot of trees at the summit on a hiking trail
We found few interesting trees during the hike near the summit. Otherwise you mostly find small bushes.
