I traveled to Mount Abu due to numerous World Class attractions and Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary was among them. It was January 2019 best time to visit.

This forest is spread over an area of 114 sq kms up to Gurshikhar, the highest peak of Aravalli Hill Range. It is open to tourists throughout the year. Tours can be done from 9 am to 5 pm. An entry fee of Rs 50 is charged from Indian tourists and Rs 300 from foreign tourists. Vehicle charges are additional. Jeep safaris and trekking can also be enjoyed.
In this wildlife sanctuary, many species of flora found which grows in the temperate and sub-tropics climate are prominent. Many species of wild roses can also be seen. Bamboos forest is also noticeable in some areas.
Sloth bears are prominent in mammalian wildlife because this environment is suitable for them and for Indian Pangolin also. Indian leopard, Deers, Golden Jackals, Jungle Cats, Wild boars etc are living in this Sanctuary. Lion Tigers are not existing in this Sanctuary. Many species of birds including the grey jungle fowl and Green Avadavat are very common.
This is a protected wildlife sanctuary and Trevor’s Tank is located in this Sanctuary. A very popular Sunset point is located in the Wildlife Sanctuary which can be accessed from other entrance. It needs two hours and the best season is October to March.
