Hi local guys you might find this post different. During this lock down one of the stray cat on our second floor abandoned room gave birth to three kittens. These kittens were beautiful and charming we had no idea when they were born. Two of them were of white colour while one was black and grey striped body while the mother cat herself was white in colour. but I never saw any discrimination among three of them she was always licking their kittens and loving them. However my nephew and niece discovered them and started to give them milk and some meat to their mother cat. Due to the lock down mother cat could not find any food and since kittens were on mother milk did not go out and feed themselves. It was my Idea to let them stay in our home for few weeks so so that they can grow a little and can face the hardships of the world. The cats and their new born kittens stayed in our home and we provided them milk and meat to their mother cat. You can find beautiful pictures of kittens and mother cat and while she was feeding her share.
For me it was wonderful and strange experience that how she was raising her babies with less food as due to lock down she was not getting enough food for herself. I wonder how was she was giving/ letting kittens to have milk from her while she was lying and sometimes she was feeding them without food break. For me it was very strange observation that how animal mother is licking their babies while feeding them.
I never saw this mother cat in angry state or treating her kitten badly and why I thought this because sometime she was hungry and was feeling weak but she never mistreat her kittens. As the kittens grew and started eating meat , I bought them fresh meat and milk everyday and when i put it in their bowl her kittens joyfully come and start eating leaving very little for their mother but she let the kittens enjoy the meal even she was having her self feeling hungry. she was always licking her babies.
I saw love in her eyes it was wonderful astonishing experience for me which also made me understand the nature love among different species with their babies. it also made me understand that there is someone who has put this love in mother / parent for their babies. human being not only love their children raise them and give sacrifice for children but Animal too love there babies equally or might be more than human. Saddest part of this story is that she used to spend sometime out of the home as she was not a pet cat but stray cat she never relied on our food so one night she stepped out and some dog/cat hurt her badly.when she didnot return till morning me and my daughter went out to look for her. After sometime we found her under a vehicle parked outside our residence all bruised and bleeding badly ,her white fur turned to red and she was not able to move her tail even !!. I managed to give her some water and tried to call for the vet but all in vain !! In front of my eyes the white beautiful snow white left the world!.
Now these adorable fluffy kittens were left without their mother and it became our responsibility. We usually do not keep pets in our home because it is big responsibility and my own daughter is allergic so we usually avoid pets. but now we are feeding them and these kittens are using our beds as there toilet as they are not trained because they are not pet rather they are Stray. we give them food but they are not still familiar to us and hide from us all the time and try to runaways from our home. but we are not letting them go out because i fear they might be killed by male cats and dogs. they are very cute and if some cat lover want to adopt them we can give them as well. Anyway according to this day we salute all the mothers not only human also animal mothers that to take care of their babies. Happy mother’s day.
