I love this photo because it brings me very good memories :blush: . It was a getaway :blue_car: that we did with friends at night to see this alignment of the moon, saturn, jupiter and venus. :milky_way: :earth_africa: :wine_glass:

Thanks for sharing this amazing photos with us! June is indeed a very interesting month from an astronomical point of view, with many special events like this alignement. Tomorrow there will be a nice triangulation between the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn, while on the 21th there will be the annular eclipse of the Sun. I’m not sure if they will be visible from the southern emisphere too. Do you know about them?

Thanks for your post. That was at approximately 21:00 PM. That phenomenon is called “planetary kiss”. It is the unusual alignment that allows the Moon, Venus, and Saturn to be seen together :milky_way:

I love astronomical phenomena and in the north of our country you can see them perfectly since there are cities where almost 365 days are clear without any cloud. In fact, one of the great observatories in the world.

On the other hand, you are right @Giu_DiB ! On June 21 we will have an annular eclipse :new_moon_with_face: :earth_africa: , and I researched it and this occurs when the moon is not close enough to Earth to completely cover the sun, allowing us to see a fine solar ring. Unfortunately we will have to wait until December 2020 to see it but in other countries such as: Eritrea, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, India, China and Taiwan you will be able to see this phenomenon on June 21.
