Birth Of Khasla A New chapter of Sikhism.
On 1699 , 30th march at Keshgarh Sahib near AnandPur state of Punjab khalsa Panth was formed by 5 sikh called Panj Paira , Khalsa is a collective name given to a baptized sikh.
For that Amrit is prepared in a Iron bowl water is pour, then put Patasa ( sugar granules) stir with double edged sword while stirring they recited bani ( prayers).
Then they were given to drink Amrit & sprinkle on there eyes, hair recite Mool Mantra five times.
So this day in 1699, in a congregation (a group of people assembled for religious worship.)
of people from all across India…standing there listening to their Guru, Guru Gobind Rai ji asked for human sacrifice of five men one after the other. Five men from different castes from different parts of India stood up from the crowd of thousands.
These 5 people were later knows as Panch Paria.
These 5 sikh were known as Panch Paria ( Guru’s 5 beloved ).
Their names from where they belong, there profession.
1) Daya Singh- A shopkeeper, Baniya called Daya Ram from Lahore.
2) Dharam Singh - A farmer, Jat called Dharam Das from Meerut.
3) Himmat Singh -A so called low-caste water carrier, called Himmat Rai from Jagannath Puri, Odisha.
4) Mokham Singh - A tailor,of Cheemba caste called Mokham Chand from Dwarka, Gujarat.
5) Sahib Singh -A barber, of Naai caste called Sahib Chand from Bidar, Karnataka.

With his choice of disciples from five different corners of India, Gobind Rai ji visualised the national dream… from the coast of Gujarat along Western Arabian Sea to coasts of Odisha along the Bay of Bengal; from the great Plains of Punjab to the the Gangetic Plain and then onto the Deccan peninsula covering Karnataka.
Do not forget that at that time, all these were separate states; it was Guru Gobind Singh ji that thought of all of them as one…
this Baisakhi day of 1699.
The five were christened as the First Five Khalsa Sikhs, and the five in turn christened their Guru as the sixth. Gobind Rai ji was now Gobind Singh ji. All caste names and surnames were dropped, & a common surname was proposed for all Indians across India; a surname that denoted a caste-less, class-less creed of men willing to sacrifice themselves for the nation and against injustice.
Later Gurujii all of them were given same surname Singh.
Gurujii gave 5 K’s
1) Kesh ( long hair) we are not suppose to cut our hair .
2) Kangha ( Comb) .
3) Kirpan (Small dagger)

There is philosophy behind there name.
These names gives us the essence of our life.
According to sikhism, Dharam comes out of Daya only (kindness). If there is no daya, there is no Dharam. Daya and Dharam gives birth to Himmat means courage, an ability and commitment to stand against injustice and help those in need.
Mokham, a stage where you detach yourself from worldly desires. And finally its Sahib where all these come together and you become one with God.
These names of 5 piyaras were not chosen by Guru ji. They already had these names.
However, Singh (lion) was added to their names.
For Girl’s Kaur( princess) was added to their names.

Farmers treat this day as ‘Thanksgiving’; they express gratitude towards the Almighty for the blessing of the harvest and beginning of a new season. In Bihar, Vaisakhi is observed as a day to honour the Sun God, Surya. People in Kashmir, organize festivities and a ceremonial bath for celebrating Vaisakhi whereas people in Himachal Pradesh, visit the Jwalamukhi Temple for taking a holy dip in the natural hot spring.

The most important festivals for Sikhs and is marked by the millions of Sikhs in India and all around the world.

Prayers, processions, raising of the Nishan Sahib flag
Fairs and processions, temple decorations.

Happy Vaisakhi To Everyone Pray To Waheguru ji Bless Everyone With abundance of happiness and Prosperity.
