Do you know who fill colours in our life, she is our mom when a child is born she/ he is blank. It’s a mother who welcome a child with colour she makes her baby wear 1st dress some make kids wear white, / if girl child then pink / if boy child then blue .
She is one who introduce us with colours. That why we say…
"Mava Thandya Chava " means
" Mothers are like cool shades"
She is one who fills our life with with colours make it colourful.
When she take’s her new born baby at home there new born baby is welcome with colour.
According to hindu custom on forehead a small tilak red colour is put on new born baby ,
Now days girl child is there they put tilak of red colour small red duppata some take hand print with red or yellow colour are taken & kept in lockers.Some take foot print of girl child. They believe small baby as goddess have come to there house will bring prosperity.
In school our Drawing teacher introduce us with primary & secondary colours.
I still remember drawing teacher used to say if we mix red & yellow colour we will get orange colour. Like this whole chart teacher would give mixing two colour get other colour.
Colours put great impact on our life style. Our mood , our style of dressing,some people follow colours weekly & dress accordingly.
Some follow colours dress to wear according to season.
Summer light colour to keep body cool.
Winter bold & bright colors are worn in winter.
Rainy dark colours are worn.
Now days Colour therapy is used to cure some diseases accordingly dress colour are told to wear .
I don’t know how effective it is.
This month love for colours because in India We celebrate holi today different colour.
People try to play with natural & organic colours holi
I love colours but I had stop playing holi more then 45 years ago. Childhood friends apply holi colour on face & one friend hit coloured ballon on my eye. I was safe because I had close my eyes wash immediately but there was mild redness on eye & my skin got red. My Dr staying in same building helped me with medicine immediately. Since that day never played holi.
There is a story behind this festival Holi , playing holi with colours.
Lords krishna got blue colour after drinking breast milking from Putana Rakshaksh ( demon) had poisoned in it. She wanted to kill Lord krishna but she was killed. Then Lord krishna was worried when he saw his body colour turn blue colour due to poison. That time krishna’s mom told you play will colours with Radha & Gopia (her friends of Radha ) this way the festival of holi started. In Braj region of India it’s play in large scale.
