Monsoon is by far my favorite season to photograph. The dynamic dark clouds are so full of character, the distant rains, the drops of water falling on the ground and on the plants making them so vivid, reflections on the puddle creating a parallel world, people on the streets making their careful move, are all rich photographic opportunities. Do you like Monsoon photography? What is your favorite subject to photograph in this season?
I captured this photograph today in the mid-afternoon when suddenly this storm rolled up out of nowhere. It was wonderful to see the contrast between the dark clouds with distant rains and the bright sunny foreground.
Hardly a minute after I captured this photograph, the dark clouds covered my foreground and it started pouring. I was probably lucky to capture the above picture right in the nick of time. And the same scene looked like this (below) once it started pouring. Both the photographs are captured using my mobile phone.
Have you photographed anything that captures the essence of this season? Do share!
