Mohammad Ali Road During Ramzan and Eid

Gonna start writing about this experience by wishing #eidmubarak to all!

We recently, it being our first, paid a visit to the ever so famous and bustling Mohammad Ali Road and what an experience it was! Thousands of people crammed (for the lack of a better word) in one narrow lane seeking joy in food and shopping and making merry like there’s no tomorrow!

You can read as much as you want about what others recommend to do when in Mohd Ali Road but let us tell know, each experience will be different from the other and how you witness the place will be yours personal! So sharing some of our takeaways!

1 - Do Not Drive - You will face the biggest problem while reaching there, that’s to decide how to reach there. Public transport is hard to find and taking your own vehicle is a headache because you won’t find parking. So put on your walking shoes, cab it up to the nearest spot and start walking

2 - Don’t Go With Any Hang Ups - you cannot be hung up on the hygeine factor if you want to gorge onto the food items there. There are thousands of people eating there, so can you.

3 - Especially for women - YOU ARE SAFE - The first thought that comes when we travel in such a big crowd is about being molested or touched wrongly or “chedoed” but let us tell you, it’s incredibly safe there and you (women) can let your guards down and travel freely!

4 - Hydrate - It gets really hot in there, so don’t forget to keep sipping onto water in between all that eating!

5 - Don’t Count Calories! - This place is heaven for foodies! So please if you are the calorie pincher, this isn’t the place for you! #letsguide
