Mobility in Abidjan

As usual, I wrote a lot and a lot about this country and I was going to share some of what I wrote with you here attached to pictures where I visited many places but I was stolen more than once here during which I lost clothes, bags, phones, tablets and watches, so I will publish texts only Since this image is gone with the devices and I don’t have backup copies of it

Transportation in Abidjan
I do not think that you will face a problem with movement here. Public transport is available. Buses are available, there is no metro, and besides official transportation, there are many buses of various sizes that carry passengers, and there are also taxis
Pricing depends on what you use as there is a very noticeable difference between these means. The official bus can be used with a pre-paid subscription card, but I did not search for it, as it is impractical to move around and it takes a lot of time
Queues at its stations are confirmed, as you may wait for hours here, not because the bus does not frequent enough, but because of the large number of users in exchange for the fewer buses

Informal buses pricing depends on your destination and whether it is inside or outside the city inside the city The final destination is not more than 500 XOF
You need to know the city in order to use this method, and final destinations are usually the least safe areas in the city so you should be careful when you are there

Taxis
Divided into several colors, there are reds, and they are cars that can transport you in any direction you want, and there are other colors according to the region you are in. Cars areas such as Cocody do not leave the Cocody area As it is not allowed to do so, transportation prices are low, starting at 100 XOF, and I have not paid more than 300 XOF for a trip with them, and they usually work like a bus. They usually take several passengers in the same direction.
You have to be careful when using taxis, especially the red ones, as well as they exaggerate the price of the trip, which may raise the price of the ride after reaching the final destination without prior notice It happened to me here, where I took a red taxi, and upon my arrival at the destination, the driver noticed that it was a hotel So he raised the fare and seized my bag And after he used profanity to urge me to pay, I did not respond. I tried to take my bag. He used force, so I left it and went. Perhaps I will list what happened in a separate report.

I think the best way to move around here is to rent a car, the city is small and the congestion is usually in the highways and for reasons like a traffic accident and the congestion is not that bad.

When you reach the city, ask your residence to send a car if they provide that, or you can use Uber, which by the way only sends a taxi, not as usual in the rest of the world, so if you want to use a taxi just ask for Uber to get rid of the headache of dealing with them
