Mixed fruit custard is a delicious dessert which blends perfectly with the hot summer. The dessert is quick and easy to prepare and contains essential nutrients to keep the body healthy and hydrated. People of all ages love this dessert because of its scrumptious taste. Whenever, we have a big craving for dessert in the summer, we prefer to have this easy homemade Mixed Fruit Dessert.
The following are the ingredients used in the preparation of mixed fruit dessert:
Full Fat Milk-1/2 Litre
White Sugar-3 Tablespoon
Vanilla custard powder-3 Tablespoon
Chopped Banana-1 Large
Red Apple chopped-1/2
Green Grapes-1 cup
Chopped Papaya-1/2 cup
Chopped Mango-1 Large
Pomegranate seeds 1/2 cup
Vanilla Essence-1 tablespoon
Fresh Cream-100 grams (I used the Almarai brand)
Sliced Red Cherry and Almonds for Garnish
Preparation Procedure:
- Boil the full fat milk in a deep bowl at low flame. Once the milk begins to boil add sugar and stir till all the sugar is melted.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the custard powder with some milk stored at room temperature. Make sure you stir the mixture continuously to avoid any formation of lumps (Custard and Milk mixture).
- When the milk starts to boil add the Custard and Milk mixture to it. Stir the milk carefully to prevent forming of lumps.
- Now add Vanilla Essence to it and mix them. Let it cool down for fifteen minutes (or) till the custard mixture obtains sufficient thickness.
- Heat the mixture at low flame and shift it to another bowl. Add the chopped apple, mango, papaya, banana, grapes, and pomegranate and put it over the custard mixture.
- Lastly, add in the fresh cream and garnish with almonds and red cherry, the dessert is ready to be served.
- For best results, it is recommended to put the dessert in the fridge for a while to serve chilled custard.
