- Hi fellow guides…lve been a valued, visible and hopefully helpful level 10 guide for a while and was sooooooo sooooooo looking forward to receiving my Google man badge pin as my reward. I sure as heck didn’t need a pair of Google socks sent in the post. Besides a tiny walking Google man takes it very little space in a wee envelope from USA to UK. Sadly l have seen no sign of him yet and it appears he’s been on walkabout for a couple of years now. Is he taking a stop over in your locality while en route to me. He’s clearly having the time of his life doing reports in Acapulco, swimming in Hawaii, visiting Yosemite, the Big Apple and possibly climbing table mountain in South Africa. I don’t even mind that he prefers a nice long train ride on the Orient express from Venice. Could someone just kindly remind him that he belongs to him. I promise when he finally arrives to wear him with pride on my best coat, to disclose to all who ask why he’s with me that l will say he’s my favorite companion, that l can’t do my best job as a guide without him. In return l will let him choose his own name. He can’t just be the G man forever. I’ll promise to him a polish from time to time, never leave him out of a conversation because who would want to leave him in the cold. I do need to catch sight of him soon. The grey hairs are creeping in as well as the creaking in the joints. Who knows how much longer l will be able to guide for without the help of a trusted companion. So if you know where my Google walking man is hiding please post him on, or meetup with me at Google UK HQ and l will collect him. I don’t mind paying for some of his trip ( not all 2 yrs though ). I’m really looking forward to meeting him in person …
