A decade ago, I started adding small details to Google Maps—a photo of a local shop here, a quick review there. Today, looking back at my 10-year contribution summary, it is amazing to see how those small actions turned into a massive community impact.
In my professional life, I am a power station operations engineer. Contributing to Google Maps has been a hobby of mine for a long time. It is truly a joy to be stepping into 10 years of my journey, little by little.
Sharing local knowledge has always been about helping others navigate their world a little more easily. Whether it’s confirming a business’s hours or capturing the perfect shot of a hidden gem, being a part of this global community has been a rewarding journey.
Passing the 31 million view mark is a surreal feeling. It is a reminder that every photo and review I share on maps has a life of its own. reaching people across the globe exactly when they need it most.
A huge thanks to everyone who has interacted with my posts or used my reviews to find their way. Here is to the next 10 years of exploring, reviewing, and mapping the road ahead!
