Recently, I have been enjoying sharing a lot of Mexico places in Google Maps because a few months ago, I decided to quit my job, leave my house in Tijuana, sell my car and start exploring my country backpacking.
All my life wanted to do this until I started wondering why I haven’t done it. Life is too short and goes so fast, so I decided to start a plan (budget, itinerary, etc.) and set a date to start it.
Took me around one year to prepare everything. I must say it was not easy, to leave EVERYTHING and travel around for months. But I finally started on May last year
I have been almost in all Mexico’s states. I hope by the end of this 2019 I seen the most important places I have on my list of every region.
I must say I prefer small towns than bigger cities. I also enjoy outdoors and sports so much therefore every time I can I rent a bike and stroll around town, hike to the nearest mountains, sandboard every dune I can find, enjoy the lakes on a paddle board or kayak, or just run at a beautiful park. I feel more in contact with everything traveling this way and I love sharing this nature pictures on Google Maps.
I must confess I get a little bit sad when I have to leave a region to travel to another one because I feel like “a local” with ease
… also, it’s impossible not fall in love of every little town in Mexico.
