This is a remarkable viewpoint on the Sikkim highway which allows the tourists to enjoy the magnificent view of Kanchenjunga snow peaks. Unfortunately, when we visited this place ((During the start of monsoon season) the whole surrounding area was covered with murky fog with limited visibility.
The locals informed us that mesmerizing snow peaks of Kangchenjunga (third highest mountain in the world) is visible from this point during the spring time which lies during the month of March-April when the sky is normally clear and at the end of monsoon season (Between October-December) which is the start of winter season.
I live in Canada and we have some beautiful snow covered mountains on our West Coast.
But our mountains are rugged and wild. These ones here are just beautiful and you can see where two huge Geographical PLATES have pushed together and then water has worn them down. Now, I understand why they say our mountains are the youngest in the world, not counting volcanoes!

Even in themonsoon season with fog, rain and snow, places like this have their own beauty @fasi6083 . I love your photo supported by an interesting story about this magnificent view of Kanchenjunga snow peaks. You mentioned that this is on the Khim Highway so I imagine there is a lot of traffic through this mountainous area so and where is it leading to?
Your photo truly shows why it is actually mesmerizing but I also appreciate you linking to the viewpoint - a lot of other great beautiful perspectives captured by Local Guides as well. @fasi6083
@AdamGT Thanks for the comment, yes you are correct the highway road is busy most of the time and it connects the capital city (Gangtok) with the Northern part of Sikkim state.
