Hey my fellow Skechers fan @LaloPadilla congratulations for being featured

It’s nice to read your introduction as we know deeper about your passion as a Local Guide and also your determination in learning foreign language.

I highly suggest you to practice your Germany with @TorM

I’m sure you could learn a lot from him!

P.S : I’ve currently bought a new running shoes. It’s not Skechers, but I do love to try a different brand.

Muchas gracias @SebaasC !!!

Now it sounds like it was 100 years ago LOL @PaulPavlinovich

It’s amazing how things change now we have a lot of tools in the pocket, and Maps is now a mix of yellow pages and regular paper maps , and we are a little part of it!!! I wanted to add a photo but I couldn’t find the GPS, I found the box though :joy:

Based on your experience teaching maps to your Scouts I think you’ll love** this tweet **

It would be a shame if their chargers and powerbanks disappeared, just saying  :joy:

Great to learn much more about you, @LaloPadilla - it is crazy how our generation has gone from paper maps and directions printed out to GPS directions. It’s funny now thinking back to how I’d have to manage driving as a beginner and actually trying to follow paper direction day or night, sun or rain :joy: . Nice list of places to visit as well - I’ve been to L.A. and N.Y. quite a few times and there’s still so much for me to explore across the two.

Glad to have you as a moderator!

Hello @LaloPadilla

Nice to meet you and to know more about you. Congratulations as well on your appointment as a moderator. We share your excitement as well as wish you well for the responsibilities ahead of you.

I see we have something in common, visiting museums, how many have you visited so far? I visited one today and I plan to write a post about it maybe tomorrow.

How fluent are you in German now?

Thank you for sharing the post @InaS

Hola @LaloPadilla ! So good to know more about you, mi amigo. Mexico is a fun place I have heard, I’m sure people from Mexico are fun too. I would love the opportunity to meet you in person one day. If you happen to travel to outer space some day, please remember to let me know, I want to tag along too. Great that you have started learning German. It’s supposed to be a rich language. I hope one day you can watch your favorite show without any subtitle. I watch Spanish movies nowadays without subtitle, even though I don’t understand half of it, but I figure out somehow what they are saying, that’s one of my way of learning Spanish too. (I learned Urdu/ Hindi by watching movies too).

Thank you @InaS for sharing Lalo’s story. It was a fun reading.

Thanks ! @NirmalTeja @iorikun301

Yes @Velvel I’ve practiced a little bit with Tor here on Connect and also reading some posts, maybe in a future I’ll post something in german

That’s great! you know skechers can get a little slippery, so its good to change them and try other brands too

Same @SP31 ! The evolution of maps its amazing and we are starting to adopt AR and maybe in a few years we will not have to use directions, only decide where we want to go and relax using full autopilot!

Hi @SholaIB Thanks for your comment and your wishes ! I’ll do my best as a moderator :grinning:

To be honest, I have no idea of how many museums I’ve visited hahaha

But the first museum I visited (and one of my favourites) is Papalote Museo del Niño in Mexico City, their slogan is “touch, play and learn” it is really interactive and has an IMAX screen and a planetarium dome, so as you can imagine you finish your visit falling in love with science.

I started learning German this year, it takes time, I hope to be fluent with a couple of courses.
