Mount Maunganui in the city of Tauranga, which is in the Bay of Plenty on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
Mt Maunganui is also known as its Māori name, Mauao. It is a 232 metre extinct volcano. There is easy tracks to walk up and also much harder steeper tracks to climb. Once at the top you can get amazing views of the city and the ocean. There is also a track that goes around the base of the mountain.
There is a campground at the base also which you would have to pay for if you stayed there. The beach is one of the most popular in New Zealand. I’m lucky to call the “Mount” one of my home towns.
Hi @AngieYC it can take anything from 20 minutes to and hour or so. For tourists, taking time is nice to enjoy the views and sheep.
Yes I’ve travelled very much to over 60 countries. I’ve also travelled my home country of New Zealand many times over to most places. I’ll get around to posting posts some day.
They are all very special @AngieYC . I could go to all of them over again to look at things I missed last time.
I do however non-Western countries because in most cases, people live within their means and are happy in life. Westerners have forgotten how to be happy.
It’s true what you said that every place will have their own special things. Maybe non-western countries have more place in your heart is because almost everything is completely different from architecture, culture, foods, etc.
Because I am come from an Asian country, so when I visit the western countries it left a different yet great impressions, because everything is just so different than in Asia, but at least this is just my personal thought.
