This photo is taken at the end of an old train line that used to service this region, servicing the local schools and linking small villiges along the way. Now you can ride the Mary Valley Rattler as a great day out. The old steam train is a wonderful way to see the area. Mary Valley as the region is known became famous for gold around 1885 when gold was found in the near by town of Gympie.
Today there are many dairy farms, camping grounds and walking trails all less then two hours north of Brisbane. The area is quite and peaceful, a great place to holiday.
