‘Marleshwar’ is a place located at Maral village near Sangameshwar in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. The Place is ‘U’ shaped Single Mountain which has a cave with ‘Lord Shiva’ Temple and behind it is a huge waterfall. When it is in full swing, this waterfall looks like ball gown.
The best season to visit this place is in monsoon because you will get a feeling like being in heaven with the mountain tops covered in dense fog. The mountain becomes lush green with many small waterfalls flowing in to create a huge one. There is road which leads to the base of the ‘Marleshwar’ Temple. To reach the summit, you have to climb around 400 stairs from the base.
I really like all your travel article, all quite impressive…
I choose this post for comment, because few years ago I visited Marleshwar but not in rainey season, it is in May a holiday season, so I miss all Marleshwar waterfalls…
god gifted our Kokan & Marleshwar is one of those place…
Hi @vijayparadkar , I am obsessed with the 2nd pic. It is is unimaginable - God’s own magic.
I am living in Raigad & is surrounded with numerous natural waterfalls. Its been three years when I came here for work assignment. I am lucky to be in Konkan area - the most underestimated natural beauty.
My fav monsoon place is Bhor Ghat . I am eagerly waiting for this year’s monsoon to explore few more waterfalls.
Hi @vijayparadkar . Thank you for sharing. The waterfalls are beautiful, really stunning. How long is the hike before you get to the stairs?
Also, I’d like to point your attention to the limitations of the photos. You should know we appreciate only photos you craft yourself or if not possible, you should give credit to the author.
Beautiful beyond words. Nature, colors and details that blend together in total harmony.
Thank you very much for the information.
Best regards and I wish you a nice week dear friend !
