Marvelous ‘Marleshwar’ Waterfall

‘Marleshwar’ is a place located at Maral village near Sangameshwar in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. The Place is ‘U’ shaped Single Mountain which has a cave with ‘Lord Shiva’ Temple and behind it is a huge waterfall. When it is in full swing, this waterfall looks like ball gown.

The best season to visit this place is in monsoon because you will get a feeling like being in heaven with the mountain tops covered in dense fog. The mountain becomes lush green with many small waterfalls flowing in to create a huge one. There is road which leads to the base of the ‘Marleshwar’ Temple. To reach the summit, you have to climb around 400 stairs from the base.

Hi @vijayparadkar , I am obsessed with the 2nd pic. It is is unimaginable - God’s own magic.

I am living in Raigad & is surrounded with numerous natural waterfalls. Its been three years when I came here for work assignment. I am lucky to be in Konkan area - the most underestimated natural beauty.

My fav monsoon place is Bhor Ghat . I am eagerly waiting for this year’s monsoon to explore few more waterfalls.

Few of my clicks

Hi @RajAlakshendra Thank you for your kind words. Your photos are really beautiful.

Yeah, Konkan is a really beautiful area & you are so lucky that you are living there.

Last year in monsoon, I have visited Shivtharghal, Bhor ghat, Bhatghar Dam. It was our one of the most memorable trip.

Hi @IrrPavlova Thank you for your appreciation. It takes around 45 minutes to reach to the top view point.

I also thank you for your suggestions. I will keep all these tips in mind for my further posts. I will also keep in mind a 1000 photos limit.

All these photos have been clicked by me (using Sony Cybershot Camera) during our family trip to Marleshwar. I don’t post photos by other artists.

I had heard of Marleshwar a couple of times but never thought it would be so breathtakingly beautiful.

Must visit to this site when back to Pune.
