Maroonda is local hand made sweet snack in all over Punjab Pakistan its very Economical and tasty crispy and crunchy.
Preparation is made of rice first of all fry the rice in a machine so rice fry and inflate we call it Phullian
(Puffed Rice)in this shape you also can eat it like a snack now dip this Phullian (Puffed Rice) in thick sugar paste and layer this in a big open bowl and let it dry that’s it 1 piece is only in less then 1 cent or in10 Pak rupees.
May be its also available in Indian Punjab if yes I request to Indian friends tell and please share its pictures

In Morocco, where I grew up, we used to buy a very similar thing from the shops. It was very delicious and had different colors and tastes.

I don’t think that there is a particular name for this in Morocco, as we mainly called it crispy or fluffy rice.
I didn’t eat this for ages, but next time I’ll go there I will find some and take a photo of it.
