Marneef Cave & Blowholes

I visited the Marneef Caves & Blowholes during my recently visit of the southern area of Oman.

Marneef Beach is beautiful itself with beautiful white sand and the water is warm. Surfing would be nice here although I didn’t see any surfees nor do I know if people do surf here.

The cave and blowholes are very popular with the locals, tourists, and expats. It is a nice place to relax and enjoy the ocean, and have a picnic.

The day I visited, the tide was too far out and the weather to calm for water to blow out the blowholes. It didn’t matter to me much as I’ve seen many blowholes in New Zealand. The blowholes are covered by steel grates for safety reasons.

You can see my review, photos, and video here. The photo below is a view of the coastline going towards Yemen, which is just over 100 kms away.

The place looks very peaceful and your photos are amazing, @TheEagleEye ! The colours of the sea are very beautiful. I didn’t know that the Arabian sea waters are so clear. Thank you so much for sharing. :slightly_smiling_face:

I was so enchanted by your post that I almost forgot to tell you that I relabeled it and it now appears in the Travel section on Connect, as it fits best there.

Thank you @KlaudiyaG for complimentary message. Yes the Arabian Sea is beautiful and good for diving. The Persian Gulf is also very nice. I’ve been in Persian Gulf many times so I must make a post about that.
