I agree with you that this is a volunteer things and those who are taking about monetary prior contributing, normally they won’t stay at all. Do no worries about them.
But as for me, after reaching level 7, I just realize the potential of creating this volunteer job to a monetary things… Something that I will share with all the local guides who has shown their enormous contribution to the society…

Un saludo Kevin, si lees los parámetros del programa ahí verás que no se recibe ninguna remuneración económica por parte de Google en el programa, lo que si te ofrece es acceso exclusivo a promociones en sus servicios, como meses gratis de play Music al llegar al nivel 5.

This question is not a matter of “Do we earn money from the local guides program” as the post above states. Instead, this is rather about how we deal with the subsequent posts after posts and how both the moderators and the guides respond to it. I see people responding to these posts time and time again, and there are lots of ‘anchor’ posts about whether local guides earn money from the program. I repeat, “lots of anchor posts”. There should just be a main post about why people do not earn money from the program, made by a community moderator or administrator, and then if anyone asks the questions without even exploring the forums, just divert the post to that thread. Don’t tell them again and again, just move the post and they will know.

Como comentario adicional, me gustaría expresarles que en mi medio local hay cierto temor a que se le este tomando fotos a los locales, por lo general doy las explicaciones del caso, pero algunos gerentes de negocios de locales comerciales no se sienten cómodos con el tema y en ocasiones he tenido que borrar la información de mi celular para que estén tranquilos. Cuando se lo toman de mejor manera, publico las fotos y agrego el sitio con la información complementaria; sin embargo en varias ocasiones también he tenido algunos inconvenientes con la aprobación de los sitios como tal; hasta el momento, no tengo idea de las razones por las que no se aprueban estos sitios en google maps. Si alguien tiene algún comentario, se los agradecería.
