There is no particular way to add a missing village name on map. We are local guides not able to add political data on map
But you can send a feedback to Google Map team.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
- Tap Menu
Help > Send feedback.

@Haseeb , thank you for trying to assist. There is no function to submit feedback regarding political functions. Attempting to use a different part of feedback will not bypass that fact.

What I understand about adding political data is, we (being local) can always send our opinion via feedback option to help prioritise the next updates on maps.
Here I would like to quote your words from above accepted solution.
‘You can express your desire to see a method added to report missing political data by using Send Feedback → Your Opinions About Maps. Google uses input there to understand what future changes to the interface users would like to see prioritized.’
Please help me understand if I’m wrong.

Your words are correct, but they do not match your video. In the video you have not tried to voice an opinion about Maps but rather have tried get them to look at editing a specific feature.
Appropriate feedback in this case would be “I would like to be able to add villages.” A person should submit that once, not every time they wish to do so.

I am trying to add a village name, but when I expand “send feedback” I do not get an option for “other feedback”, only missing place, missing road, wrong information, your opinions about maps.

Thanks for asking how to add a village, unfortunately, Local Guides cannot add an area such as a town or village. You can use the Send Feedback feature within the App to suggest to the Maps team that it needs to be done.

There are lots of ways to contribute to Google Maps that help everyone around you
The best ways to contribute and get points are
- Add new places
- Add meaningful quality photos to places
- Edit places to update them to correct information.
- Review and rate places you’ve experienced and tell us about them
- Add photos to places you visit
Never review places you have not personally visited or used.
