Me and @manulele81 had the pleasure to guide a Google troupe during our efforts to remap the territory and document the earthquakes in central Italy.

It’s been one year, since the main earthquake in the area.

@manulele81 is at a Google event, but hopefully could help us understand the the situation now.

Yes @LucioV

One year is gone, and we know that not everything is moving in the right way.

But something is moving, in hidden ways, something is raising up.

We still pushing, writing, telling stories, trying to keep everything under the attention of the world.

Thanks @VicL1

And @MariaBi

We know that also Google pay attention to this

I just watched the movie about earthquake and it is heartbreaking that this area of Italy was effected so badly. U have simphaty from Serbia @LucioV .

U are the first person who liked my video for 2017 Summit. Back then I practically didn’t know about Local Guides Connect. U really do give people support and all your heart with it, that’s something what can be felt in everything you do here on Connect. This movie is just a proof of that :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Lucio,

Congratulations on your fabulous video, it is truly a professional job. I had no idea you could do things like that on google. Italy is my favorite country, I have been there many times and it destroys my heart to see all this destructions. Italians are tough people and I am positive that it will be rebuilt soon and make it beautiful again. Cheers and good luck! May be soon we can meet in person in your hometown.

Thanks @PeterUSA ! But consider that the movie was shot by a professional troupe engaged by Google

Thanks for your kind words! Unfortunately the rebuild is far to be ended in Norcia, and there are still many improvement areas :frowning:

I’ll be happy to welcome you in Italy!

Cheers

Saludos Farid

OMG, you really missed this video @FaridTDF? Is a video that I love very much, and it was great that Google decided to go there just a few days before our first Meet-up in Norcia. I will never stops to thanks @TraciC and all the team for taking the decision to send a group from US to make it. One year later, we decided to meet again, for documenting the changes" [RECAP] 36 PHOTOWALK in Norcia

Several things are changed, other still “work in progress” but everything is moving. People is living in temporary house, shops have been relocated, and in Norcia a new business center is quickly growing up.

Culture is back to the area

Life is back, even if a lot have to be done

Thanks this thread is back but in which section?

You can see that on the initial post, @LucioV

It is “local stories”, but I think that a “mapping for good” tag should be added by you

If i “add a comment” (why not reply? Is this a special topic?) and I add a comment, then when I go to local stories I’m not able to find it

I think that all my disappeared threads are in an hidden archive board. As like I had never wrote a word
