Mannavanur lake is approximately 30-35kms far from Kodaikanal and only a few people are aware of it but people will not regret visiting this. Nature lovers can enjoy its scenic views with a lovely atmosphere. Once you reach the lake point, you can either enjoy a walk or hike around the lake or simply sit and enjoy the spectacular view covered by the verdant meadow. It is a mesmerizing experience. you can also opt for activities like coracle boat rides (costs 75rs per head), kayaking or go trotting on a horseback. Also, they have some eateries shops at the entrance selling tea, snacks, a variety of rice items and simple meals. There are some other places having superb views and there is a rabbit, sheep farm 2kms away from the lake where we can find different rabbit species.
