Manage Photos in Google Maps more better and true.

Hi…

I am local guide level 6 from Malaysia. I always use Google Maps as a guide when I need directions or search any information through my mobile. Recently…I want to upload a place that i just been there but when I saw the photos…I was very disappointed when some of the uploaded pictures did not coincide with the proper building.

As in Malaysia, there are two towers. One is called the Kuala Lumpur Tower and the other is Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers or KLCC. Perhaps for tourists, they will say these two buildings are the same, but as local person, these two buildings are very different. But when I search in Google Maps for KL tower, I found it at the correct location but not on the uploaded picture. This caused me to feel confused whether I was mistyped or nobody was controlling the pictures in Google Maps. The most uploaded photos are KLCC which has been mixed up with KL Tower.

With this happening, I expect the pictures to be uploaded not only right but need to be monitored to ensure they are accurate and appropriate to the location.

So…this what happening in Google Maps…

I hope this can be improved by Google Maps teams which has a great impact on Google maps users themselves. At least the uploaded picture should be exactly where it is intended.

Hi @Nur85 ,

Thanks for reaching out.

The best possible way to approach photos that do not belong to a certain place is to flag the photo as inappropriate. To learn more on how to do that, you can visit this article - Flag and fix inappropriate content.

By the way I will move your topic to the How-Tos section of the community.

Thank you for the guidance provided. I really appreciate it and I’ve done with it.
