Maman: A Little Slice of Parisian Charm in NYC 🥐☕

ConnectLive 2025 Post Series. This post is a part of my series before, during, and after ConnectLive 2025 New York City showcasing unique attractions, activities, and facts about the city

Hey fellow foodies! :waving_hand: If you’re wandering around New York City and craving a taste of something truly special, you HAVE to check out Maman. This place isn’t just a bakery; it’s like stepping into a cozy French kitchen right in the middle of the city bustle. Seriously, the vibes are immaculate. :sparkles:

But let’s get down to the real reason we’re here: the food and drinks! Where do I even begin? Their selection is a mix of sweet and savory, and everything looks as good as it tastes. Trust me on this.

During my last visit (okay, maybe visits ), a few things completely stole the show. First up, the pistachio croissant. :green_heart: A flaky, buttery croissant with a rich, nutty pistachio cream that’s not too sweet. It’s perfect.

Next on my must-try list is their chocolate nut cookie. :chocolate_bar::peanuts: This isn’t your average chocolate chip cookie. It’s got this incredible chewy texture and is loaded with chunks of dark chocolate and a variety of nuts. It’s slightly salty, sweet, and oh-so-satisfying. One bite and you’ll understand the hype. And to wash it all down? Their flat white.

:hot_beverage: They know their coffee here! The espresso is smooth and strong, and the milk is steamed to perfection. It’s the ideal companion to any of their baked goods and gives you that perfect little caffeine kick to keep exploring the city.

Maman also has a bunch of other goodies, from beautiful tarts to savory quiches and salads. Plus, their bread selection looks incredible! So, whether you’re after a quick coffee and pastry or a light lunch, Maman has got you covered.

Seriously, if you find yourself near one of their locations in NYC, do yourself a favor and pop in. Your taste buds will thank you! You can find them here: Maman NYC Location. Enjoy!

Hi, fellow coffee lovers @JordanBurleson .
Thanks for sharing about Maman. It’s on my list now!

While most of the coffee in The States in dark roasted, I finally found my favorite, which is Devoción.
Have you tried it?
They’re only available in NY.

Wow @Velvel, Devoicion looks amazing. I’m not normally a Columbian :hot_beverage: coffee guy (I obsess over Ethiopian), but this makes me want to go outside my comfort zone!

It was awesome to bump into you at Maman in NYC, @JordanBurleson . This place is terrific. It helps that all of the windows provide excellent lighting for making photo contributions.

Funny story, @Mikeinthefalls sent me a photo of a (well lit) delicious looking breakfast sandwich. I asked if I could join, and his response was “Maman.” I just thought it was an Ohio way of saying ‘My Man,’ like “sure, man.” :joy: I had no idea it was the name until Maps posted a pop-up request to review it!

Maman :+1:t4: that’s hilarious :joy: @JustJake Prepare to see that text often. But I don’t recommend using it in Ohio… I think they’d look at ya funny

That was so fun, @JustJake. Seeing two LGs right there. Plus that shop was a whole vibe and my wife fell in love with it.

Take it easy, Ma-Man…

I think it’s great that I’m a city of millions, @JustJake @MelTG and I ended up having breakfast at the same place as @JordanBurleson :star_struck: Great write up about Maman, your words and photos definitely captured the vibe. I still drool a bit when thinking about my delicious breakfast sandwich.

Nice to hear that @JordanBurleson . You should try it, at least once to know if you really like it.

I think I haven’t tried Ethiopian coffee beans yet.
How’s the tasting notes?
