Local Guides support businesses on Google Maps with passion. You write detailed reviews of your experiences and even create your own templates to ensure that you don’t miss anything.
Now, we’re making it easier to share helpful information by launching questions you can answer with your reviews of restaurants. With a few quick taps, you can let others know if you got takeout or delivery, what type of meal you had, and the price range. Your answers are visible on Maps, helping others make the best decisions about where to eat!
Review questions are available on Android and iOS for all restaurants in the U.S., with more categories and countries on the way.

Yay! That’s seems like it will be very helpful as a easy reminder and way to add that useful information, and of course it will be very nice to have more of these info on Maps. Thank for sharing @DeniGu , and thanks to everyone involved in this feature!
I’m looking forward to trying it when I write my future reviews, when it gets to Argentina
I always try to focus on aspects like service, price, accessibility and food.
This is a great tool to improve reviews, when people just write “delicious food” is not helpful at all, I hope this questions are available worldwide soon.
A great enhancement @DeniGu that will avoid the current practice of some to include such details in reviews in an unstructured format! The focus can now be better placed on other features like customer service, atmosphere, accessibility etc. What is the impact, if any, on Local Guide points? For example, if a Local Guide just answers these prompts without leaving a written review!! Looking forward to seeing more categories and countries included…
Oooh… thanks for the announcement @DeniGu ! This new feature looks pretty awesome and will go a long way in providing additional context to the reviewer’s experiences!! Looking forward to the global roll-out whenever it’s ready! And thanks for the mention of how-to guide!
I would like the “How much did you spend per person?” question broken out into “How much did you spend on food per person?” and “How much overall did you spend per person?” because quite often alcohol will cost as much if not more than the meal, especially if you get a bottle of wine. I believe it is the cost of dining/food that most people will be interested in because consuming alcohol is going to depend on the person or the event being celebrated. For example, my wife and I enjoy wine or drinks with dinner and while dinner might cost $20-$30 per person, with alcohol, that could easily go to $50-$60 per person which doesn’t accurately reflect how much food costs. Also, with tips, that could push the overall cost to the next level.
Thanks for this great addition to reviews, @DeniGu It will be helpful for not to miss any place I visited to leave review. Looking forward to using it in India.
Great announcement @DeniGu , I m sure that these initiatives by team will make Google maps more easier for the reviewers to describe the place, and also so much helpful for the people who will plan to visit any place and seeking information by Google maps.
