I managed to make my first blue line in streetview, after getting tips.
Going to write them down here.
Make a minimum of 25 panoramic 360 photo
distance between each 3 to 5 meter
use photoshop to remove yourself and blur faces and numberplates
When you have the photos private, before you publish, make sure the locations are correct.
when you upload to google streetview DO NOT add Maps listing
After publish, within 3 days you will have a new blue line, or an updated google blue line.
EDIT:
Here are the guidelines from Google Street View itself
It covers more than 40m or 131ft on the map.
It contains more than 10 360 photos with less than 8m or 26ft spacing.
I have had a lot of trouble with the Google Streetview App making strange auto connections, even I have auto connections turned off. And moving the photos.
You have stepped into a very enjoyable world. Welcome to this world.
From now on, you will see the mysterious processing that the Street View server performs,
What the Street View server doesn’t do when we expect it,
You will face many funny facts such as above.
It promises to require a lot of very fun work every day, like me.
If you are a hobbyist doing SV photography, let’s enjoy it as it is.
But if you’re thinking of making money with SVs, you’ll also need to become familiar with how to use third-party products.
Please check out this article, where you will find more information on the new changes in the Street View application and more about the auto-connections. In case you can’t access the new help center, please don’t hesitate to let us know so we can look into it.
Just a kind reminder: instead of quoting you can use the tagging tool when you are responding to someone. You can do it by putting the symbol “@” in front of the nickname. This way, the other person gets a notification and is able to view your answer right away.
I’d forgotten the Gear 360 got Streetview certification / support, it’s a very cheap way to fill in some gaps I’ve been wanting to sort out on the map here so you’ve got me interested.
Lugging my DSLR 360 kit around for general Streetview just isn’t an option.
@turbotapeworm Yes, Samsung 360 Gear 2017,
Quality not as good as DSLR, but it’s quick and easy.
You can take a pictures direct from streetview which is great, it gets GPS and everything.
Using Google street view APP it took about 15 seconds, before you can take the next picture.
Using Samsung APP, it’s instant, but later you need to set the GPS.
I postet a blur like via Studio app - a video with GPS - it’s processed and online - but when I use the Pigman and place him on the line - it’s showwing the previes line (2-3 years old), not the new one I have made. In some places i can chose VIEW ALL DATES, but it’s never in FIRST place.
Also - with pano2vr single point panoramas I can add a place - which is not avaible in streetvie studio - I do a line, but it’s not showing on GMB profiles of the bussines in the place.
