Thank you so much. Yes, we did it, but after reading about Gmaps misguiding people in the news, I thought we should do it again to remove unuseful content from maps.

We need help fighting some spam profiles that are hampering our small business for few months.
We have posted the details few days back in local business topic and from there we are not getting positive response.

We need help in fighting spam buisness profiles on google maps.
We have tried suggest edit, google redressal form, legal reporting, google business community forum, Twitter support. Etc. So far it seems nothing is working for us .
Please if you people can review suggest edit them as spam or doesn’t exit at the location option for google maps to review.
We have done suggest edit but our edits other name business name which are keyword stuffed, are edits are not working for marking them as spam or business doesn’t exist at the location on google maps.
Business profiles names - Clear spammy city name & product name combinations (No actual business name)

Observations
- None of them listings other than google buisness profile (not available on local directory like just dial, IndiaMART, tradeindia or any other online portal)
- All of them are using common business keyword “glass film World” and combination for buisness listing. There is no actual buisness at all?
- No websites
- No store front, office inside or outside pics, no branding pics available.
- Their listing 360 view does not show any shop or office pics as well and show weird secluded or empty street view.
- Reviews
Jaipur glass film World and wallpaper and glass film World & wallpepar : Atleast 5 users have given 5 star ratings to both biz’s in short duration of time
Om glass film World and wallpaper: Phone no is not verified still getting reviews since created with all 5 star lengthy text reviews with local SEO keyword stuffed to rank higher.
In addition we have done gemini 2.0 analysis and it also thinks potential spam but google support team is reluctant to take any action against them.
So only option left is suggest edit by multiple local guides users suggested by one google expert on community support forum.
Our only hope is now you people to help us in fighting google maps spam.

No sorry please and thankyou for your reply. Even this is a major problem of spam in other cities too. I have done several edits myself to fight the spam places and edited them.
I have read policies and recommendations and whatever I read even as per gemini AI tool and google business support forum expert recommendation that there no fault in suggest edit places on google maps by users if you think that place is violating google guidelines . For that I have provided my observations for review.

Hi @Riyavermapune I understand your concern about fake business listings on Google Maps and how they’re posing a big problem and obstacle to small local businesses. However, my opinion is that being local guides we cannot report a business as spam until and unless we have visited the place. Blindly reporting a business as fake or spam after reviewing your observations aren’t encouraged. However I do understand the concern about keywords and business labels being included in the business name which is against the policy of GBP guidelines. In that case you can reach out to the GBP help centre to see if they can help in getting the fake listings off Maps.
