Hello Friends,
it’s me again and in this post, I am going to write about some of the beautiful stamps I got from the beautiful people from various people of the world, whom now I can call friends - penpal friends.
The first of a few stamps below are the stamps from Taiwan and these beautiful stamps on the animation or the characters were really beautiful and it made me remember all those times as kids when I used to spend watching the television for this shows. Stamps also show beautiful fireworks and I always loved watching beautiful fireworks during Diwali or Christmas which light up the sky.
I also loved “Finding Dory” and it was awesome to see stamps on some of its characters. And finally Hello Kitty stamps - These stamps and characters are pretty famous among kids and I am sure some of the adults love it too.
Next some of the stamps I am writing here are on the amazing movie series Star Wars.
I watched the first Star Wars movie in 2019, and then I watched it all from the beginning. There is no wonder that this movie has a crazy fan following and I also got a toy saber with lights in it. Star Wars is an amazing movie and all movies made over year are equally amazing.
So a friend sent me this beautiful stamp of the Star Wars Series from Portugal and these stamps are definitely going to be on the list of StarWars fan.
Moving on to the few more stamps from Portugal, and the most amazing and surprising stamp for me from Portugal was, stamp with LED. I never show a stamp that can have such a feature in it. And This made me realize creativity has no limit, and stamp with LED just proved it. This was one of the stamps that surprised me the most. Continuing to write about the creative stamps, I got received another beautiful stamp from Taiwan, and this stamp was done on the bamboo tree. Can you believe it? Stamp on the bamboo. This stamp in the shape of a hand fan with the pieces of bamboo is just amazing to see and admire creativity, art, and how beautiful it looks. Another creative stamp I got, was made from the gold foil (yes real 22k gold). It was another surprise for me when I received a stamp made from 22k gold. This stamp from Mongolia released on the 40th Anniversary of the Erdenet Gold Mine (Mongolia) has to be made in the gold, and this stamp definitely surprised me. Moving on some of the stamps from the United States of America.
I am not sure how many people reading this have never seen a magic show, played with the Hot Wheel cars, or even heard a story of Dragon. All these things were celebrated on stamps by the USA, and I just went to remember all the beautiful memories of the cars, magic shows, or the dragon stories.
This brings me to a beautiful stamp released in the shape of the DragonFly from Vanuatu. I had never known of country and beautiful stamp it has until I got it from a penpal. This experience of writing to people and exchanging stamp has not just enriched my experience of the world but made me admire how creative our people are. While I was in high school, one thing I found difficult to understand and read was the Periodic Table or Chemistry subject. I always tried to study it long, and understand it better but I feel, this was one subject which was tough for me, and when I received a beautiful stamp on the periodic table, I just admired the how amazing it was done, and made me recall all those moments which I spent studying it and those respected professors who took equal effort with me. Taking about studies, One of the things always interested me was Da Vinci, the voyage of Columbus, and all facts around our history of the world. Da Vinci always inspired me and what little I read on him has always wanted me to read more on it, and different artists and people of his era. And Journey of Columbus to find India, makes me wonder if that had not happened, will India would have been captured by the British? And this beautiful journey and amazing people were made to live on the beautiful stamp and I am thankful to my friends who sent me such beautiful stamps from beautiful Italy & Portugal, and I would definitely want to visit it once. From Studies, little about Disney characters. The DuckTales was always my favorites series and Uncle Scrooge, Donald, Daisy, or all nephews of them were awesome. And I was so happy when I was sent a beautiful stamp sheet on the Donald Duck from Italy. Arent this stamp beautiful? When you talk about TV shows or movies, one of the recent ones which recently got kids’ admiration is Harry Potter and his friends. I was also hooked to these movies and its characters. All movies were beautiful and I must have watched them multiple times, and I am sure many of those who read this. So when I got stamps on the Harry Potter, it was like watching it all again, and one of my favorite of the movie, Hagrid and Hermione. Happy to get a stamp on Hagrid. A friend from Sri Lanka sent me this beautiful stamp in the shape of Peacock Feather. When I used to visit my aunt in the village, there was a temple which was full of peacocks, and I loved to visit my aunt and sit in that temple watching many peacocks all around the temple dancing and also many peacocks feathers all around. So this beautiful stamp in the shape of the peacock feather is definitely a good memory recalled. Now to pets, I want to get a pet for myself either a cat or dog. And it’s so awesome to see the stamp on the cat coming to my post one day from Belarus. A beautiful sheet of stamps on the cat. I am trying to collect stamps on the sports and Olympics. And in that regard, I haven’t got much success, especially Olympic stamps, but few penpals have definitely made me happy by exchanging stamps on sports from their country. I got stamps from Bangladesh and England on the Cricket which is one of the most followed sports in India and these stamps released during Cricket World Cup are a great addition to my sports collection and I am still looking for friends across the world who can help me with the stamps on Olympic and sports. A friend from the Philippines had sent sheet of stamps on the Sea Games that were organized in 2019. And these stamps are just beautiful.
I am looking forward to hearing from some of you, who will be kind-hearted to send me or swap with me beautiful stamps of your country and I can happily send you some from India. Let’s make this quarantine time in learning something old (again) and going back in time where we wrote and enjoyed those letters.
