1. History
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is part of the internationally famous Madame Tussauds chain of wax museums, whose origins can be traced to Marie Tussaud, born in 1761 in Strasbourg, France. She learned wax modelling at a young age and later developed exhibitions featuring famous personalities and historical figures. Her collection eventually became established in London and grew into a worldwide attraction.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong opened in 2000 at The Peak, becoming the first Madame Tussauds attraction in Asia. It was subsequently refurbished and reopened in 2006, with many new celebrity figures added. The museum continues to update its collection with contemporary Asian and international personalities.
The museum presents more than 100 wax figures across 12 themed zones. The displays combine lifelike wax sculptures with lighting, sound, sets and interactive technology, allowing visitors to pose and take photographs with the figures.

3. General Information
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is located at Shop P101, The Peak Tower, 128 Peak Road, The Peak, Hong Kong. Its hilltop location is one of its major attractions, as visitors can combine the museum visit with panoramic views of Hong Kong.
The museum can be reached by the Peak Tram, bus or minibus. From Central, the journey to The Peak takes approximately 15 minutes by the Peak Tram.
The current published opening hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday to Sunday and public holidays, with last admission at 8:30 p.m. A typical visit takes approximately 1½ hours.
