I love photography. my first ever digital camera was a 2.0 MP kodak camera. After getting interested I bought myself a canon S5 IS and I loved it and I use it till date. This is the camera that introduced me to macro photography as it had a Super Macro Mode, Wherein I can shoot the object with 0cm distance.
In 2015 I bought my first DSLR Canon SL1 (100D) with stock lens and I love that camera. The only thing I miss is the Super Macro mode that I had in my old canon S5IS. I had heard that I can reverse the lens and shoot macro with my SL1 but had never tried it. I was a bit afraid that I might ruin my lens mount or scratch my lens. Recently my friend gave me his old Canon 50D with 24-70mm lens and he allowed me to use it how ever I want. So I wasted no time and started taking photos of my watches with lens inverted and the results are were amazing. Though I had never used a macro lens before and I really don’t know the difference in image shot with macro lens and this technique of inverting the lens and taking photos. I still love the results. so if you too are in love with macro photography and don’t have money yet to buy a macro lens I would recommend you to try this out. Here are some shots that I took using Canon 50D with inverted lens without any studio setup or studio lighting . All these images are shot in natural light.
