It’s a beautiful island 50 Km away from Islamabad. It is near the khanpur dam. It is best for one-day trip but you can extend if you want they have night facilities available. If you have a plan of night stay that would be great because of the cottages/huts present in that area, whole night step-up is great and so peaceful. The location of this beautiful place will blow your mind.
Let’s talk about my journey back in 2020 when Pakistan was COVID free in start of February my cousins planned this one-day trip. We left Islamabad and it take around 2 hours to reach this place. Road conditions were good but last few Km were very bad. It was a muddy track with narrow road but soon you reach there that muddy road will be skipped from your mind because of the mesmerizing views.
So they have entry ticket but don’t worry that will be charged as advance and will be adjusted in the food or other the activities. Soon you enter your eyes will see a never ending view of water and mountains at the back. Just go closer take a seat near and forget your worries. Remember sunset at this place is worth watching, I myself witnessed it that was magical.
Daredevils this place should be on your bucket list; this place has a lot to offer. You can enjoy variety of activities like: Zip line, Boating, Jet ski, Hiking, trekking and camping etc. It’s up to you if you want to spend some alone time just grab your favorite book sit in corner start reading with a cup of hot tea. Or plan picnic with your family do camping or just book a hut for night stay.
Moving to Food because no trip is complete without it. So we ordered their high tea. They served us fries, cupcake, fried fish, biscuit and tea that’s all I remembered. Food was ok and service was bit slow because of rush maybe. My overall experience was excellent.
Amazing place @WardaBaloch , The photos which you shared making me to pick my bag and just start my traveling for this wonderful place.
I want to ask my friend @Muhammad_Usman that why still I didn’t see his any post about this stunning place did you miss it? Or maybe I saw his post once about Khanpur Dam.

And khanpur dam is near to this Island few kilometers away. But this place has its own identity. Best for family picnic, school, college trips etc.

I enjoyed reading your post with great photos @WardaBaloch . Mabali Island Islamabad looks and sounds like a great place to take time out I mean, water, mountains, zipline, boating, jet ski, hiking, trekking and camping, quiet place to read or sleep and watch magical sunsets…sounds good to me!!! How long did you stay there and were there lots of others there?
@Sarbland thank you for liking my post. Yes you can pre-book and that’s highly recommended if you have a plan to stay at night. Just search on Google “Mabali Island” you will see their website. You will get their contact information from website
@AdamGT yes this place has lot to offer… I stayed for like 4 to 5 hours, then came back. And this place is famous, during my visit many families were staying at this place. And fun fact they were in their pj’s soaking sunlight and spending quality time with their families
