In May 2024 I went Bhopal by Train and Arrived at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station
Station was well clean & Large
• The station has undergone significant renovations and now boasts modern amenities, including air-conditioned waiting rooms, escalators, and elevators.
• The station has several food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, cafes, and snack stalls.
• The station has a large parking area and is well-connected to the city through public transportation, including buses and autorickshaws.
- Large junction: Rani Kamalapati Railway Station is a major junction, with trains connecting to various parts of the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
- Frequency: The station has a high frequency of trains, with multiple departures and arrivals throughout the day.
Bhopal is known as the “City of Lakes” due to its numerous lakes and water bodies.
It has a rich cultural heritage, with a blend of Hindu, Muslim, and tribal influences.
Educational related
The city is home to several research institutions, including the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) and the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTER).

Bhimbetka Rock Shelters: The Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are located near Bhopal and feature ancient cave paintings and shelters.
Van Vihar National Park: The Van Vihar National Park , located in Bhopal, is a popular tourist destination and home to a wide range of flora and fauna.
December 2-3, 1984: The Bhopal disasteroccurred, with a leak of MIC gas from the UCIL plant.
It was one of the world’s worst industrial disasters,resulting in the loss of thousands of lives.
