Cercana de Cape Town se encuentra la “Colonia de Pingüinos de Boulders Beach” una colonia de pingüinos que habitan en el sur de África. Estos se encuentran en una playa a pocos metros de donde hay gente tomando sol, comiendo algo o dándose un baño en las frías aguas.
Lo que más disfruté al visitar este lugar fue el poder observarles y documentales desde cerca, el dejarme fascinar por su aparente estilo de vida y el disfrutar de una experiencia que jamás había pensado posible.
A los pingüinos apenas les conozco como especie, pero de verles puedo decir que quedé fascinada con su caminar y su capacidad de quedarse chill, a pesar de el caos que teníamos los humanos.
Honestamente me fascinaron y me hubiera quedado por horas, de no ser porque la agenda no lo permitía
Sentí tal conexión, que me hubiera atrevido a afirmar que al menos uno me miraba con la esquina del ojo.
Para documentarlos usé una óptica que había adquirido pocos meses antes, se trata de la “Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary” para Canon.
¿Qué te parece la experiencia? ¿Y el nivel de detalles de la foto? (Yo quedé enamorada de poder casi sentir las texturas visuales).
Wow, amazing photos! Glad to hear you made this stop while in the Western Cape! Boulders beach is one of my favorite spots and I love the conservation awareness behind it.
Thanks for your comment and compliment @AlexaAC ! You would not believe how happy I was to stop there and it almost did not happen because we were already late, on a rush and tired. Yet I insisted, since it was my first time seeing penguins in the wild. It paid off! Undoubtedly! Since you mention that it is a favourite, I wonder: how many times have you visited this spot?
Using a powerful telephoto lens can be addictive @Marichams , but can help you in a lot of nice situations, to get details otherwise impossible to obtains.
What discourage me is the volume and the weigh that you have to bring with you when traveling.
For this reason I have opted for a bridge by Sony, with a 24 - 1200 mm by Carl Zeiss.
Of course in a compact you have two limits:
The size of the sensor (less details)
The limitation in low light
but on the other side, with less than a Kg you have everything with you.
You are showing us a reduced size of the photo, to stay in the size limit of Connect, so I can only imagine the details of the original photo.
Hola @Marichams como de costumbre hermosas fotos, la lente que utilizas es buenísima, ya lo comentamos en otro post donde te indicaba que mi deseo es adquirir unos lente similar a la tuya, estoy de acuerdo con @ErmesT de que transportar una lente de este tamaño tiene esos dos inconvenientes que son el peso y el tamaño.
Con respecto a los pingüinos, en un viaje por la Patagonia tuve la oportunidad de ver y hacer unas fotos a los pingüinos de Punta Pirámides en la provincia de Chubut en la Patagonia Argentina. Me dejo enamorado de ellos, es como tu dices puedes estar horas mirándolos, en tierras son los mejores actores cómicos del planeta.
Hi @AlexaAC , from which part of South Africa are you? I mist confess that I really really really felt in love with your country it is so diverse that it’s fantastic! I had the luck to join an ambitious road trip from Cape town to Pretoria, stopping in some gorgeous cities and towns by the Garden Route and then making a memorable visit to Kruger National Park. This trip ended up being life changing for me, since the energy from your country enlightened me and somehow pushed me to make a dramatic shift in my life.
I’m from the Eastern Cape originally and the Garden Route is a favourite of mine. I hope everyone gets the chance in their lifetime to experience what you did.
