Locations in Vietnam but recorded in Chinese characters

Hi everyone, I’m guide local, I’m from Vietnam. Today I stumbled upon the name of a waterfall in Dalat, Vietnam, written in Chinese characters. I tried to correct its name back to Vietnamese but couldn’t. I was surprised that the name in Chinese is the main language, Vietnamese is the secondary language in that location. While that place is in Vietnam. I do not complain to google map like. Obviously this is a very blatant violation of my national sovereignty. Hope everyone guides me to change the name for this place. Thank you so much!

Hello @PhamHungHau

A waterfall is a geographical element and LGs can’t add or edit that.

I came across some old discussion on that, as in this link.

Since the mentioned POI is editable, that appears to be a creation by some Chinese speaking LG. Further, that could bypass the automated check and come into existence.

An ideal solution would be to arrange for correction through the send feedback option and also suggesting to make the POI non-editable inline with other similar attractions.
