Local Guides program helps me to guide myself

Local Guides program is not only able to guide others but also to guide myself.

I love to travel and I’d taken thousands of photos at places I visited.

Before I became a Local Guide, I simply stored photos at Google Photos.

It’s useful and helped me to recall scenes for years.

However, nothing can remain unchanged.

Places would change day by day.

So, even if the place was very familiar to you, you’ll feel odd when you are there after some years.

The photos below were taken at the same place.

The facility constructed at a plain field is " Tokyo Aquatics Center " for Olympic games 2020.

Years ago, I used to be here every weekend with my family and played with our dog.

Google Photos helps me to keep my photos for years and Local Guides program helps me to recall my memories on a certain place like this.

So, I would say Local Guides program is not only to guide others but to guide yourself to your past with the places.

Yes they help a lot in knowing any place ,area , monuments they help us to know about the city .

I just like the caption " local guide program helps me guide myself " . That is the essence of being a local guide. Helping others to navigate through unfamiliar places while relying on Google map to provide the lead. @otoyo The difference between photos really impresses. There are a lot of such rebuildings in my place too. Unfortunately these changes are not always for the better.
