I always wanted to be a travel blogger. A travel blogger is someone who travels around the world collecting material for writing about their travel experiences, deriving income from a variety of on-line and off-line sources. However this career pursuit requires leaving traditional job and travelling. Born in an orthodox family this was not an option. So I started looking for alternative options and then one fine day while searching for the same, I stumbled across Google Local Guide program which was then in its beta phase however it seems to have a lot of potential. I was instantly attracted towards this program. Google Local Guide program was very much similar to travel blogger but allowed one to share their views and photography skills at the comfort of staying in normal routine life. It allowed me to share photos, reviews and update information about places I’ve visited thereby helping others. I started with amateur skills and in due time my photos started to become popular. This was a satisfaction of another level. I was happy to help others with my travel experience with out changing my lifestyle. Thus this program was a blessing in disguise for me with occasional rewards.
